The Lychway Chapel is a non-denominational chapel that seats in excess of 230 people in the main chapel. We have a smaller adjoining chapel that can be opened to accommodate seating for the larger service; or be used as a boutique smaller service.
Our venue provides a peaceful environment for services that can be conducted by invited officiants or by representatives of The Lychway Funeral Home. Everything is undercover. You can gather to say farewell to your loved one as the hearse drives away – under cover of the veranda.
Adjoining the chapel is our catering lounge, where people can gather after the service to share refreshments and recall memories of their loved one. The catering lounge is joined to the chapel by an internal hallway. The venue is wheelchair friendly ensuring easy access for all, and there are 80 onsite carparks as well as plenty of street parking on Roy Street.
We offer live video streaming and recording of services ensuring family and friends overseas or those who cannot attend can still be part of the service.
The Lychway has a 24-hour viewing room so there are no restrictions to view your loved one.
The Lychway Funeral Directors can arrange all catering requirements, either at the funeral home or at outside venues.
Should you choose to hold the service at the Kelvin Grove Crematorium chapel or any other venue such as a church etc we are more than happy to assist.
