Named in honour of one of our owners and long-serving funeral professional, the Graeme Procter Lounge is a spacious and welcoming area where family and friends can gather after the service to share memories, stories, and light refreshments.
Thoughtfully designed for comfort and connection, the lounge features a fully equipped kitchen, ample seating, and a flexible layout that can accommodate both large and small groups. It provides a relaxed and informal setting for guests to come together, reflect, and support one another.

Our bright, open arrangement room provides a welcoming and naturally lit space where families can sit together in comfort. This room offers a relaxed, conversational setting that many find reassuring during the early stages of planning a service.
For those who prefer a quieter or more private environment, our second arrangement room offers a more secluded and peaceful space. Soft lighting and a gentle ambiance make it ideal for families seeking privacy or a quieter setting for sensitive discussions.

Reception
From the moment you walk through our doors, you are welcomed into a calm and spacious reception area designed to offer comfort and reassurance. Our receptionist is there to greet you with warmth and care, ready to guide you gently through the first steps of the funeral process.
To the left, you’ll find our manager’s office, providing easy access for more personal conversations or assistance when needed. The open layout of the reception allows for a natural flow and a sense of ease as families enter the space, with thoughtful touches that help create a calm and respectful environment.
Within the reception area, we also have a dedicated display featuring a selection of headstones and plaques. This allows families to view memorial options in their own time, with guidance available whenever they feel ready.

24 Hour Viewing Room
At The Lychway, we understand that saying goodbye is a deeply personal experience, and we want to provide families with as much time as they need to honour their loved one.
Our 24-hour viewing room is available for families who wish to spend time with their loved one outside of normal office hours. This private space allows families to come and go at their own pace, and each family is given a key, ensuring they have the flexibility and privacy to reflect and mourn on their own terms. It is a serene and quiet environment designed for comfort and peace during this time of remembrance.
In addition, we offer a second viewing room within the building, providing another peaceful and intimate space for families to gather, reflect, and share their final moments. This room is designed with warmth and dignity, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere for private viewings.
Both viewing rooms offer a place of comfort and support, ensuring that families can say their final goodbyes in a setting that respects their needs and wishes.
